Asset manager Investcorp overhauls top management
Bahrain-based alternative asset manager Investcorp has overhauled its top management.
The reorganisation will see executive chairman Mohammed Alardhi assuming the additional role of co-CEO following the announcement that Hazem Ben-Gacem is leaving the firm effective November 1 but will continue as vice chairman of Investcorp Capital.
Rishi Kapoor has also been appointed vice chairman and chief investment officer to focus on delivering optimal performance for clients and shareholders, as per the announcement.
Aside from the realignment, Investcorp has also consolidated and organised its investment activities under three global business verticals—private equity and private equity-like, which will be led by Dave Tayeh; real assets, which will be co-led by Herb Myers and Mike O’Brien; and credit, which will be helmed by Jeremy Ghose.
Investcorp has been increasingly betting big on Southeast Asian markets such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore.
