Analysis
The Japanese company is now the third largest shareholder in the fintech firm.
Singapore-based fintech firm Honest Bank received a fresh capital infusion last week.
The fintech had previously raised at least $27.2m in its Series A round from Insignia Ventures, and others.
Honest will hold a 71.21% stake in SFK, while the remaining will be retained by PermataBank.
Honest Bank plans to use the proceeds from its Series A round for the acquisition.
Honest Bank is looking to use the funding to acquire a credit card licence from Bank Permata.
Singapore-headquartered Honest Bank is said to be one of the contenders.
